KastLite was formed in 2020, when cofounders Ben and Matt met serendipitously at a summer barbeque. As they chatted about their backgrounds and became closer, the idea of KastLite blossomed into something tangible. Ben and Matt had 2 unique and very different backgrounds, but similar pain points.

On one hand, when Ben and his wife bought a new fixer upper home, they found they had 2 options for home improvement projects: pay way too much for a professional to install something mediocre, or spend hours on Youtube trying to figure out what supplies they needed, going to a million hardware stores, and ultimately being dissatisfied with the final result. The white space Ben saw was for a broad range of products that are simple to use, turnkey to install, and wouldn’t break the bank, while allowing him to complete DIY projects and add value to his home.

Matt on the other hand has 30 years of experience in the Lighting industry. A true “road warrior”, traveling to and servicing business clients all over the states. Matt has seen first hand the issues business buyers have with finding the right product and has honed his ability to serve each customer for their very specific needs. Businesses appreciate Matt’s knowledgeable insight, proactive suggestions and ability to address questions and concerns. For big projects, peace of mind and confidence in the product being purchased is paramount.

With this unique combination of insights, together Ben and Matt formed KastLite, whose mission is to provide a broad range of high quality products that help home and business owners complete projects and improve the spaces they spend time in
