Our 18-inch globes are built for large-scale lighting projects. Municipalities, universities, and commercial property managers use this size for campus walkways, highway interchange lighting, and large parking structures. At this diameter, polycarbonate becomes the preferred material because of its superior impact strength, though we also offer acrylic for applications where optical clarity matters more.
The 18" globe commonly uses a 6" or 8" fitter neck. Custom neck sizes can be manufactured on request.
Materials and Common Uses
We manufacture 18" globes in both acrylic and polycarbonate. Acrylic offers better light diffusion and a clean appearance. Polycarbonate is the tougher option, rated for higher impact resistance, which matters in areas with storms, falling branches, or vandalism risk. Both materials are UV-stabilized to resist yellowing over years of sun exposure.
