Thermoclear Fire-Rated Polycarbonate Elevator Light Panels
Our Thermoclear fire-rated elevator light lens is designed specifically for elevator cab ceiling lighting systems. This panel meets fire-rating requirements for enclosed elevator spaces, where standard plastic lenses aren't allowed by code. If you're replacing a damaged or yellowed elevator light cover, this is the product building managers and elevator service companies reach for.
The Thermoclear material is a multi-wall polycarbonate that passes the fire-resistance tests required by most elevator safety codes. It diffuses light evenly across the cab ceiling while staying lightweight enough for overhead installation. Unlike glass alternatives, polycarbonate won't shatter if struck during furniture moves or equipment transport.
Ordering and Installation
Elevator light panels often need to be cut to fit specific cab dimensions. Thermoclear polycarbonate cuts cleanly with standard shop tools (circular saw with a fine-tooth blade or a utility knife for scoring).
