When the hole is too large or off-center for the fixture trim, a goof ring provides a clean finish without patching drywall. We manufacture these to your exact dimensions at our Clearwater, FL facility, so you get a precise fit every time.
How Custom Sizing Works
Standard goof rings from hardware stores come in limited sizes, typically 6" and 8" inner diameter. Our custom option lets you specify both the inner and outer diameter, along with the material finish. We make most goof rings from white ABS plastic, which is paintable and durable enough for long-term ceiling installation. Turnaround depends on order volume, so contact us for lead times on larger jobs.
Electricians and general contractors order these most often for renovation projects where existing ceiling cutouts do not match newer recessed fixtures. They also work well for covering old fixture locations when switching to a different fixture size.
