These are replacement globes for jelly jar light fixtures, not complete fixtures. If the glass on your existing jelly jar light has cracked, yellowed or gone missing, this is where you replace it. The collection holds nine covers in clear, white, amber and prismatic finishes, in acrylic and one in glass, with either a threaded neck or a 3.25" fitter neck.
Measure the Neck Before You Order
The neck is the opening at the base of the globe that attaches to the fixture, and it is the measurement that decides whether a cover fits. Eight of the nine covers here use a threaded neck that screws directly onto the fixture body. The Clear Glass Jelly Jar uses a 3.25" fitter neck, which seats into a fitter ring instead of screwing in. Check which style your fixture takes before choosing, because the two are not interchangeable.
Choosing a Material and Finish
Acrylic covers make up most of the collection and are the lighter option to handle and install overhead. The prismatic finish has a ribbed surface that spreads light more widely than a smooth cover, which suits stairwells and walkways where you want even coverage rather than a bright spot. Clear passes the most light, white softens it, and amber gives a warmer tone. One cover in the collection is glass rather than acrylic.
Domed covers sit deeper than the straight-sided versions, so if you are matching an existing look, compare the profile as well as the neck.
If You Need the Whole Fixture
This collection covers replacement glass only. For a complete wall or ceiling mount fixture, see our porch lights collection, and for post-mounted outdoor lighting see post top fixtures. If you are replacing the cover and the lamp at the same time, our LED bulbs collection covers the bulb side.
