Post top fixtures at KASTLITE mount on top of vertical poles and lamp posts. These are the housings that hold your globe or acorn in place on a standard 3" OD (outside diameter) post. I carry complete post top assemblies, individual fixture heads, fitter rings, and mounting adapters for both residential and commercial outdoor lighting projects.
A post top fixture typically includes the base that slides over the pole, a socket assembly, and a fitter ring that accepts a globe or acorn. Some models include a reflector or internal shade to direct light downward. The housing materials are cast aluminum or heavy-duty composite with powder coat finishes rated for years of outdoor exposure.
Building a Complete Post Light
To assemble a full post light from parts, you need three things: a post top fixture (from this collection), a globe or acorn (from our lamp post globes or acorns collection), and a bulb. Match the fitter size on the fixture to the neck size on the globe, and you are set. Most of our post top fixtures use a 5.25" or 6" fitter opening.
