Pier mount lights sit on top of flat surfaces like gate posts, porch columns, deck railings, and driveway pillars. The mounting style is different from post top fixtures, which slide over a vertical pole. Pier mounts bolt directly to a flat surface using a base plate. Most of our pier mount bases have a standard 3" fitter opening that accepts globes and acorns from our other collections.
Choosing the Right Pier Mount Setup
Start by measuring the top of your column or post. You need the base plate to sit flat and have enough room for the mounting hardware. Then choose a globe style: smooth, prismatic, or acorn-shaped.
