Acorn Lamp Post Globes

Acorn globes are the teardrop-shaped covers used on traditional street-style lamp posts. They are one of the most common post-top light shapes in the United States, found on residential streets, community entrances, parks, and commercial properties. We manufacture acorn globes in multiple sizes and materials at our facility in Clearwater, FL.

Our acorns come in both acrylic and polycarbonate. Acrylic is lighter and offers excellent clarity, while polycarbonate is the stronger choice for areas with heavy weather, falling branches, or vandalism risk. Both materials are UV-stabilized to resist the yellowing that plagues lower-quality globes.

Ordering the Right Acorn

Measure your existing globe from the widest point across the opening to determine the correct diameter. Then check the neck or fitter opening at the bottom where the globe sits on the post housing. If you need the fitter base included, take a look at our acorn combo kits instead. We also carry standard round lamp post globes if your fixture uses a spherical shape.
