KASTLITE tube guards protect fluorescent and LED lamps from accidental breakage, which is a requirement in food processing plants, restaurants, warehouses, and anywhere that falling glass creates a safety hazard. We carry tube guards for all three standard lamp sizes: T5, T8, and T12. Each guard is a clear polycarbonate sleeve that slides over the lamp and locks in place with end caps.
Why Use a Tube Guard?
Health codes in many states require shatter-resistant lamp protection in areas where food is prepared, stored, or served. A tube guard catches broken glass and contains the phosphor powder inside the sleeve instead of letting it fall onto surfaces below. Even outside of food service, warehouses and manufacturing floors benefit from the added safety. The polycarbonate material we use does not yellow quickly and maintains good light transmission over time.
Pack Sizes and Ordering
Our tube guards are sold in bulk packs of 6, 12, 24, and 48 units depending on the size. If you are retrofitting an entire facility, the larger packs bring the per-unit cost down significantly. End caps are sold separately since some fixtures use different mounting styles. For a complete setup, consider our T8 bulb combo which pairs the lamp and guard together.
