Twin-Wall Polycarbonate Panels for Greenhouses and Roofing
Our 8mm twin-wall polycarbonate panels are a popular choice for greenhouse roofing, patio covers, and skylight replacements. The dual-layer construction creates an insulating air gap that helps regulate temperature, which is why greenhouse builders prefer twin-wall over single-layer glazing. These clear panels transmit about 80% of visible light while blocking harmful UV rays.
Each panel is lightweight compared to glass (roughly 1/6 the weight), so it puts less load on your framing structure. That means you can use lighter, less expensive framing materials. The polycarbonate is also virtually unbreakable, which is a real advantage in hail-prone regions or areas with falling branch risk.
Sizing and Cutting Twin-Wall Panels
Our panels ship in standard dimensions that cover most greenhouse and patio projects. You can cut them to size on-site with a circular saw (fine-tooth blade) or even a sharp utility knife for thinner sections. Seal the open channels after cutting to keep out moisture and insects, as open flutes will eventually collect condensation and algae.
